The Island One Foundation was created:

  • on the heels of a series of extraordinary catastrophes associated the past three hurricane seasons;
  • the philanthropic commitment of our leadership;
  • in response to challenges our employees face during difficult times in their lives.

 

The catalyst to formalize our philanthropy and form a Foundation was a direct result of Cary Erfurth, Executive Vice President, leading a team of Island One employees into Mississippi to help the victims of Katrina. Katrina was life changing for the entire company.  This devastation inspired a commitment of financial and in-kind support from the Island One Resorts leadership and employees.  The core of our belief system is family is priority one. With that value in mind we are focusing our foundation’s efforts on responding to the needs of:

  • ChildrenBiloxi Relief Trip 09-30-05
  • Women and families
  • Disaster relief

Our philanthropic resources will be arranged:

  • through the deployment of volunteer teams
  • in-kind contributions
  • and grants to organizations that support our resort communities.
